Camp for Grown-ups

May 31st - June 2nd, 2019
Occidental, California

Put down your phone. Turn off your computer. Take a deep breath and go . . . ANYWHERE.

Join us for a magical weekend in the woods where your only responsibilities are to have fun and take it easy.  Zip-line through the redwoods or read a book in the shade.  Tie dye on the art deck, or compete in Color Olympics. Stay up late roasting marshmallows and singing karaoke or snuggle with some tea and friends in our Tea Lounge.

Camp Made Easy

Located in the stunning coastal redwoods,  Camp Anywhere is only an hour and a half away from Oakland and San Francisco. We’re packing all the fun into a single weekend, allowing you to have an incredible time away without having to miss work to do it.

Express Yourself. Try Something New.

Camp is designed for you to reconnect with you! That may mean jumping into one of our awesome playshops like scented candle making, rock climbing, shibori dying, stilt walking or jewelry making. Or maybe you’ll go rogue and spend the whole day reading a book in a hammock, drinking tea in our Tea Tipi with our tea maestro Fog, or just playing board games with new and old friends.

Unplug Outside

Let’s be honest, you're on your phone and computer too much and outside not enough. Let’s flip that for the weekend. With your tech put away you can truly delight in the wonders and proven health benefits of nature. Refresh yourself while exploring camp’s many trails through forests and redwood groves. Camp Anywhere is a drug and alcohol free camp.

Play Hard. Make Friends.

Whether it’s a game of volleyball, ultimate frisbee, a board game or simply a great conversation, Camp Anywhere is a place where we can play like we were kids again. Come with your buddies, or make new BFFs at camp. Every minute of camp has both organized fun, and space to chill and do your own thing.

Leave it all behind

There are so many routines that make up our days. Little circles we run in over and over again. At camp, we want to leave it all behind. This also means leaving drugs and alcohol at home. Camp is a safe, inclusive space for everyone to enjoy.

Musical Guests

Josiah Johnson

Josiah is best known for being a founding member of The Head and the Heart. He took a break from that work a few years ago to learn how to live more wholly integrated and to work with and through problems with addictions. His expanding solo creations are transcendent, healing folk songs. Deep and soulful ballads that paint the imagination with rich and emotional landscapes of love, loss and transformation. Josiah's solo performances highlight a stripped down, emotive, lyrics-and-voice-first kind of song craft, inimitable in its sincerity and beauty, with the powerful joy of singing together.

Chelsea Coleman

Oklahoma grown singing-songwriting powerhouse, Chelsea Coleman, creates sanctuaries out of songs, wherein her audience is moved, humbled, and exalted. A courageous and vulnerable storyteller, she invites you to endure open heart surgery, skillfully mending your heartache with strands of golden thread. Each listener leaves more integrally woven in to the tapestry of humanity.

Chelsea Coleman

Aviva sings heart songs – some for love lost, and others for humanity forgotten – with a tone and cadence that somehow conjures both the vintage pop of the Fifties and the dark, dreamy sounds you might hear coming from that haunted backwoods bar in 1990s Twin Peaks, Washington. She offers a frequency of hopefulness, a frequency to cry to, a frequency that begs you to dig a bit deeper. Her songs are honest and endearing, bold and restless, easy to listen to and sometimes hard to hear. Aviva’s music invites you to look into the dark cracks of everything – it can be intimidating, but we all know that’s how the light gets in.

The Feelings Parade

The Feelings Parade is the alchemy that happens when songwriters Scott Ferreter and Morgan Bolender come together to bare their souls through song and story. Their live shows--like their songs--are known for being simultaneously gritty and compassionate, and their sound exists somewhere between the nostalgic, harmony-rich acoustic singer-songwriter styles of the 60’s and a harder-hitting, electric barrage of texture and groove.
